Our Team
AMB was formed by Terrance Hegel to capitalize on the advantages of modular construction in his business as a real estate investor and developer. Mr. Hegel believes that the quality, speed and dependability of modular construction, as well as increasingly complex design capabilities make modular construction the future of building. Mr. Hegel believes there is a need in the modular home building market for a firm dedicated to superior design, high quality construction and individual client attention.
Mr. Hegel has a BA in Construction Science from Clemson University and a MBA from the University of North Carolina. Prior to establishing AMB, Mr. Hegel spent a number of years as an investment banker in San Francisco and as a project manager for a national homebuilder in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Cathy Megill is Atlantic Modular Builder's in house designer. Ms. Megill brings 20 years of design experience to the firm and is charged with over seeing home design from concept to completion. This process entails interviewing clients to gather their basic needs and wants, preparing preliminary drawings, completing the kitchen and bath designs and after the basic plan is complete, working with clients in specifying the homes interior and exterior finishes. Ms. Megill is a certified Kitchen and Bath designer and attended the University of Delaware. In addition to working with Atlantic Modular Builders she also does design work through her own firm CM Designs.
In addition to the services of Ms. Megill and Mr. Hegel, AMB employs a full time field supervisor responsible for all construction and service matters, as well as an additional architectural designer specializing in exterior designs.
