What began as Atlantic Modular Builders has grown into Atlantic Building Company, a name that better represents the full scope of our work. While modular construction remains a core strength, we also design and build custom stick-built homes, giving homeowners flexibility to choose the construction method that best fits their property, timeline, and lifestyle.
With over 20 years of experience and more than 150 custom homes completed throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties, ABC has earned a reputation for craftsmanship, reliability, and thoughtful design. Taylor Brink
Co-Owner/Director of Construction
Taylor brings more than 15 years of hands-on construction experience to his role as Co-Owner and Director of Construction at Atlantic Building Company. He oversees all field operations, leading crews, coordinating trades, and ensuring every home is built to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Taylor joined Atlantic Modular Builders to expand his knowledge of residential construction and quickly became an integral part of the team under the mentorship of Terrance and seasoned industry professionals. After several years, he further broadened his expertise by partnering with his uncle, who successfully operated a general contracting company for more than three decades.
Through his experience at Atlantic and running a renovation company, Taylor developed a comprehensive understanding of the building process—from site preparation and rough trades through final construction and quality control. His hands-on approach, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence are critical to delivering custom homes that meet both design intent and structural integrity.
Ryan Meyers
Co-Owner/Design Director
Growing up on the Jersey Shore, Ryan was always inspired by the area’s diverse and distinctive coastal architecture. Since 2003, he has been designing custom homes along the coast, helping homeowners bring unique visions to life through thoughtful design and careful attention to detail.
As Co-Owner and Design Director of Atlantic Building Company, Ryan designs every custom home and works closely with each client from the initial meeting through move-in day. He is deeply involved in the overall design process, guiding homeowners through floor plan development, architectural decisions, and planning stages that lay the foundation for a successful build.
Following Hurricane Sandy’s devastation in 2012, Ryan joined the Atlantic Modular Builders team to help meet the urgent need for high-quality housing solutions along the Jersey Shore. Since then, he has played a key role in shaping innovative, forward-thinking projects and helping evolve the company into what is now Atlantic Building Company.
Ryan takes great pride in collaborating with clients and the build team alike, believing that strong communication, creativity, and hands-on involvement are essential to delivering exceptional custom homes.
Terrance Hegel
Founder, Atlantic Modular Builders
Construction has been a lifelong passion of mine. After earning my undergraduate degree, I began my career as a project manager for a large builder in North Carolina. A few years later, I furthered my education with an MBA and a Master’s in City Planning from the University of North Carolina. In 2002, I returned to the East Coast with one goal: to build a career in construction. The following year, I built my own home using modular construction and became convinced of its potential to transform the industry.
Today, I’m fortunate to work alongside a dedicated team of talented professionals and skilled subcontractors who bring our projects to life. Outside work, I enjoy time with my beautiful wife and three children, who keep life busy and fulfilling.

Maura Bradley
Operations & Design Selections Manager
Maura brings a strong background in design, project coordination, and client experience to Atlantic Building Company. She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York City while working at Gensler, a globally renowned architecture and design firm, where she spent seven years specializing in commercial interiors, followed by three years at IA Interior Architects.
After moving to the Jersey Shore, Maura shifted her focus to family and community, founding Bee You Yoga, becoming a Certified Mindfulness Instructor, and authoring Mindfulness for Kids in 10 Minutes a Day. Her work during this time reinforced the importance of communication, organization, and the creation of positive client experiences.
Maura returned to the design and construction industry in 2023 and now oversees all office operations, marketing and digital presence, and the client selection process at Atlantic Building Company. She works one-on-one with each homeowner to guide selections and coordinates ordering and scheduling to ensure a smooth, well-organized experience from design through construction.
Tom Stevenson
Field Supervisor
I grew up in North Jersey and was introduced to home remodeling and new construction at an early age while working for my older brother. After high school, I continued to build my expertise, spending eight years in commercial building prefabrication, 13 years as a union carpenter and plasterer foreman, and four years as a project coordinator for American Panel Tec. I have been a modular home building field supervisor for the past decade.
At Atlantic Modular Builders, every home—from Sandy replacement bungalows to high-end custom builds—features unique details that make each project exciting and rewarding. The variety and craftsmanship involved keep me engaged, and I take pride in delivering quality homes that stand the test of time.
Izzy
The Brains Behind the Whole Operation
Meet Izzy, the real mastermind at Atlantic Modular Builders! As Terrance's loyal sidekick, she keeps the office running smoothly—one tail wag at a time. When she's not overseeing projects (from her favorite spot under Terrance's desk), you can find her sharing french fries with Ryan, collecting her well-deserved daily treats, and charming everyone she meets. With her sweet demeanor, Izzy truly is the heart and soul of the team.
